How is Vaping Addictive?

01/01/2019

Vaping involves chemicals, one of them being Nicotine. Nicotine is a toxic yellowish liquid, and is often used as an active component of tobacco. Nicotine is also found in cigarettes, and is known to be addictive. Yes, vape hasn't really been considered "addictive," however it has shown to push teens into future addiction. It has even been proven that the younger a person is, the more likely they are to become addicted. In the article, Vaping Young Adults More Likely To Smoke Cigarettes, it says, "Young adults who vape are more than four times as likely to start smoking cigarettes within 18 months as their peers who don't vape, researchers report" (Izquierdo). This ultimately shows that vaping can actually be considered addictive. The earlier you start, the longer it'll affect you and there will be more consequences to face.
